UNITED NATIONS

Since the beginning of GIMUN, the United Nations has cooperated intimately with the association on different levels. The UN has provided GIMUN with logistical support such as access to its infrastructure, in particular the use of rooms at the Palace of Nations in Geneva. Since 2007, GIMUN, as an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC, has gained access to the network of other UN-accredited NGOs.

In the area of social events and joint activities the Graduate Institute Students Association (GISA) has shown its commitment to furthering students’ activities within and beyond the Institute. This partnership has always been very dynamic and increasingly productive.

SWITZERLAND-UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION

The University of Geneva is a crucial partner for GIMUN and its development. The university is supporting GIMUN both financially and logistically.  In 2010, GIMUN was officially accredited by the University of Geneva, strengthening the partnership and providing the association with a number of benefits with regard to reaching out to university students.

UNITED NATIONS YOUTH ASSOCIATION SWITZERLAND

The United Nations Youth Association Switzerland (UNYA) brings together student’s associations who organize activities related to the UN. The goals of UNYA is to promote exchange of ideas between the associations and to educate young people on the values of the United Nations.

HAMMUN

With around 500 delegates per year the HamMUN is Germany's largest MUN conference. The conference takes place in the beautiful city of Hamburg usually around the first weekend of December when the city is full with Christmas markets and decorations. With more than a dozen committees each year it provides a great academic experience to beginners as well as experienced MUN delegates. Furthermore HamMUN is known for its socials which tend to go all night and allow you to meet hundreds of people from all around the world. This year will the the HamMUNs 20th anniversary and our organizing team will do their best to provide all delegates with a truly hammunique experience.

COLOGNE MODEL UNITED NATIONS

The Cologne MUN Society e.V. was founded in 2016 and organized its first very own conference in Summer 2018. After the first round and lot of wonderful feedback from their participants, they are ready for take two. The next conference is set for fall 2019 and is going to take place in Cologne, Germany. As in their first conference, where they welcomed participants from Great Britain, Spain, Poland, Israel, Ghana and Australia, they expect many international participants next year as well. Since they are at the very beginning of the organization of their conference, a concrete theme for their conference hasn't been set yet. However, they would like to focus on current events so that an exciting conference with interesting topics can be expected.

BIMUN

The 18th edition of the Bonn International Model United Nations conference will take place from the 22nd to 26th of November in the German United Nations city of Bonn. There will be four committees: The Security Council, United Nations Environmental Program, UN Women, G20 and of course our Media Team. Do not miss the opportunity to participate in our trilingual committee UNEP which will be held in English, French and Spanish and interpreted simultaneously! We hope to see you soon!
