Journalists for the Annual Conference 2012



 

About the Newspaper

Perspectives is the GIMUN conference's newspaper, distributed daily to the participants. During 5 days, the journalists will follow the debates, get information and advice from the participants of each committee to keep you informed of the events and to give you a general vision of the week’s challenges. The newspaper offers you ten pages of serious information, but it is also meant to keep you informed on social events and the latest rumours :)

Journalist: Job Description

Being present within each committee, the journalists have an important role during the conference. The information and reflections in their articles not only allow the participants to know what takes place in the Palais des Nations, but also make the debates more fulfilling. Journalists will have to take part in the simulation by writing for the Perspectives newspaper for 5 days .Working in the Perspectives team means to discover the way an international conference works and to benefit from a amusing experience in the field of journalism.

Criteria for Eligibility

- To be able of working in a team and in pairs inside your committee
- To have good writing skills in French and/or in English
- To be able to draft articles on topics discusses in committee based on a file or on your research
- To be able to daily draft articles on the developments of the Conference and the debates
- To have social skills in order to get some information from the participants
- To bring your small touch of creativity to the writing !

12 journalists will be selected -- two per committee.
