Finance & Fundraising Department

Fanta Camara - Finance & Fundraising Director

I am originally from Guinea but was born and raised in the Kingdom of Morocco, and completed all of my pre-university education at the French mission. A combination of having basked in a multicultural environment and my passion for learning new languagues logically drove me to pursue my studies in International Relations at the University of Geneva, a beautiful city reputed for its cosmopolitism. I joined the GIMUN Team in 2010 as an assistant in the Finance and Fundraising Department and had the opportunity of participating in the Annual Conference as a delegate in the Human Rights Council. For me, GIMUN represents a platform that allows us to understand the mechanisms, efficiency and impact of the United Nations, all in a  friendly environment, all the while maintaining it's seriousness and professionnalism.

David Dizerens - Finance & Fundraising Co-Director

I was born on January 6, 1990, in Vevey, on the riviera from Vaud, where I grew up. Since then, I've always stayed in this region that I love because of its location and extraordinary landscape .When I was a child, I wanted to become a doctor. But on September 11, 2001, when I came home from school with a friend, I heard the attacks on the radio. Once home, I spent the evening in front of the TV watching the images that were always the same. In that moment, I began to have interest for the world around us to understand how such things could happen. I then developed an intriguing fascination for the USA and its history. I'm currently ending my Bachelor studies in International relations at the University of Geneva. It allowed me to
acquire an accurate vision of the world as it is now. During my Bachelor's, my interest for economics became greater and greater, which is why I wish to pursue my studies in economics, if possible in the USA.

I was born and grew up in Geneva, an international and cosmopolitan city. I obtained a Bachelor in economical and social history as well as a Master in environmental sciences at the University of Geneva where I'm currently studying socioeconomics. I'm particularly interested in environmental and developmental questions and have been active in various associations working with these questions. I recently discovered GIMUN, that I joined as an assistant in the Finance & Fundraising department, but I hope to take part in many other events organised by GIMUN, which offers an ncredible platform allowing young people to be heard on the international scene and to put their academic knowledge into application.

I'm originally from Benin. After a High School diploma in economical and social sciences and a Bachelor in diplomacy and international relations at the National administration school (ENA), I wanted to understand why some Southern countries where underdeveloped, particularly Benin, though it has many resources. This is why I am currently doing a Master's in Development Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva. I joined a wonderful team at GIMUN in 2011 as an assistant in the Finance & Fundraising department after having discovered the NGO during its information day. Its various activities perfectly match my interest for international relations and offer me a rewarding experience in an environment that is dynamic and casual as well as serious.

I was born in Chicago and moved to Geneva at the age of 13. I‘m therefore lucky enough to speak fluent English and French. I’m currently a second year student in International Relations at the University of Geneva. My fascination with international relations began with my interest in human rights. I believe that every person can play a part in insuring that these rights are respected, but so can and should the government. It's important for young people to voice their opinions on global issues and GIMUN provides a platform where they can do so successfully.
