USG for Translation

For as long as Nicole can remember, she has had a passion for languages and other cultures. She is a native English and Spanish speaker and has pursued French studies since the age of six.  As a daughter to immigrant parents, Nicole quickly learned the importance of communication. The notion of helping others and eliminating language barriers, especially in a world increasingly shaped by climate change, poverty and conflict, is what led her to study translation. Nicole is currently completing an MA in Specialised Translation (Legal and Institutional) at the University of Geneva in the hopes of ultimately achieving her dream: to become a professional translator within an international organisation and/or intergovernmental institution.

Nicole joined GIMUN in 2017 as a translator for both the blog and the 2018 Annual Conference. It gave her the opportunity to learn first-hand about current international affairs and meet extraordinary people from all over the world. She is honoured to be a part of the GIMUN team, this time as the Under-Secretary-General for translation. She is looking forward to actively contributing to the bilingual environment and overall success of the 2019 Annual Conference.
