Lisa Mazzone – National Council

The COP 21 and the tricky ecology/politics equation

Lisa Mazzone – elected to the National Council

As a former student of the University of Geneva, Lisa Mazzone had her first political experience in 2006 when she founded the Youth Parliament of Versoix. She then accumulated political experiences in a short amount of time : she engaged in the Young Greens; she entered the committee of the Genevans Greens; she was elected to the City Council of Saconnex; she was elected to the Grand Council of Geneva, then President of the Geneva Greens, etc. Her fast political rise has now become concrete through her parliamentary position in the National Council, where she is the youngest elected. Since 2015, she represents the Green Party and is committed to the defense of the environment and biodiversity in Switzerland.

This exceptional guest will be happy to tell us about her personal experience in politics, and how she combines ecology and politics throughout her term. She will also have the opportunity to talk about the difficulties of political ecology at a national and international level, especially at a time of economic crisis, safety or even identity crisis.
