I am originally from Germany and currently in my third year of International Relations at the University of Geneva. Growing up in a German-Dutch family, I quickly became accustomed to intercultural and multilingual communication. During high school, I started participating in a local Model United Nations conference in Oldenburg, a fantastic experience which inspired me to attend more conferences in various positions. My activity in MUN also sparked my passion for international organisations and politics and I therefore moved to Geneva in 2015 to study International Relations. Next to my studies, I became involved in GIMUN and was immediately fascinated by its professional spirit, its diversity and its bilingualism. After serving as a chair and Under-Secretary-General for the past two years, it is now an honour to be one of the Secretaries-General for the Annual Conference 2018 and to lead our wonderful conference staff towards our 19th edition.
In my view, GIMUN represents a brilliant opportunity to deepen your knowledge of international politics, to practice your debating skills in an extraordinary environment and to meet young people from all over the world. For the Annual Conference 2018, we will thus do our best to create a memorable and enriching experience for all of you. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Geneva!
